September's meeting included a presentation from the Office of the Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman can now take complaints about school boards: Do you have an unresolved complaint about a school board? The Ontario Ombudsman ( now has the power to investigate. If you’ve tried elsewhere and hit a dead end, the Ombudsman might be able to help – it’s confidential, independent of government, impartial and free. Ombudsman staff will resolve your issue, refer you to help, cut through red tape or launch a full investigation when warranted.
